Axtell is located approximately 10 miles south of the Nebraska State Line and 89 miles west of St. Joseph, MO. It is located in the eastern part of Marshall County about 1/2 mile from the Nemaha County line. We are two miles north of U.S. Highway 36 on KS 110. Seneca is 10 miles east of the Axtell Junction (US 36 & KS 110) and Marysville is 20 miles west of the Axtell Junction.

Axtell Cash is a gift certificate program brought to you by Axtell Economic Development Corporation. Axtell Cash ensures that money is spent locally, ensuring the Shop Small initiative lasts year-round. This benefit is a plus for both our local businesses and the recipients. The recipient can redeem the certificate at participating Axtell businesses. Recipient can choose from a variety of businesses. Spend your Axtell Cash on meals, hair styling, car services and parts, gasoline or home improvements. Axtell Cash is a popular gift for family, friends, teachers or employees.

- Axtell Cash is good for 6 months from the date issued
- Axtell Cash is only available for redemption at participating Axtell businesses listed below
- Axtell Cash is available in any amount, $10 or more
- Axtell Cash is not redeemable for cash. If any remaining balance is left after use, any amount not used in full will be turned into a gift certificate to that particular business

- Build a Restaurant / Bar - Currently known as Ace’s Bar & Grill
- Donated funds to the Concession Stand at the Axtell City Park
- Purchased the Alfers Electric Building and transferred ownership to the Axtell American Legion for demolition.
- Donated funds to the Axtell Community Track
- $2,500 to Axtell Pride for startup of their group
- Donated funds to the Electronic Sign next to Legion
- Scholarship fund - to an AHS graduating senior
- Provided funds to Axtell Pride for a matching grant for the Playground Project
- Purchased the stock from AWG for J&J Food Mart
- Axtell Billboard along Hwy 36 – to promote Axtell and what our town has to offer
